Fire curtains for commercial and industrial buildings

Harlech fire curtains provide a discreet way to create a fire barrier within a building. They are generally housed above an opening and deploy when activated by the building’s fire safety system. We supply and install fire curtain solutions tailored to the opening, the building layout and the required fire performance.

Our team can help you select a suitable configuration for commercial, retail, educational and industrial premises.

How Do Fire Curtains Work?

During normal use, a fire curtain remains retracted above the opening. When activated through the specified fire safety controls, it deploys across the opening in accordance with the building’s fire strategy.

The activation sequence, alarm connection, power arrangements and controls are determined for the particular installation. Our team can discuss these requirements during specification.

Where Are Fire Curtains Used?

Fire curtains can be specified where a fire barrier is needed without a permanently closed door or shutter. The right solution depends on the building’s fire strategy and the opening it needs to protect.
